Overview
Seven snow resorts to choose from, four epic days of skiing and snowboarding, hot springs, peak-season powder, night skiing, free ski & snowboard lessons, a huge New Year’s Countdown Party with fireworks and more!
Hakuba is one of Japan’s most famous ski destinations, offering incredible mountain scenery, a huge variety of terrain and some of the best powder conditions in the country. On this New Year trip, you’ll have 4 full days to enjoy the Hakuba Valley, with Hakuba Goryu and Hakuba 47 right on your doorstep. With everything from wide, groomed pistes to challenging off-piste terrain and deep powder, there’s plenty to keep both beginners and experienced skiers and snowboarders entertained.
Our accommodation is located in Hakuba Goryu, giving you easy access to the Goryu and 47 ski areas. With the local shuttle bus network, you can also easily explore the other resorts across the Hakuba Valley, giving you the freedom to discover a different mountain or ski area during your stay. Whether you want to ski every day, take a day off to explore Hakuba, or simply enjoy some time in the mountains, the choice is yours.
On New Year’s Eve, there will be a countdown event featuring live performances and fireworks, followed by an after-party at our local bar. It’s the perfect way to celebrate the New Year with the group and enjoy Hakuba’s lively atmosphere.
With 4 full days in Hakuba, plenty of opportunities to explore the Hakuba Valley, and a big New Year’s celebration, this is a great way to spend New Year in the mountains.
Looking forward to it!!

“Thanks to the TSC organisers for a fun & memorable trip, appreciate the beginner lessons! amazing time on the slopes and meeting new friends. bonus was the taiko, dance and fireworks in the evening :)”
“The Hakuba Snow Festival was excellent! The trip was as always super organized. Nice hotel, decent snow and even better people.”
“とても安全で楽しい旅行でした! 基本的に個人で行動しますが質問やトラブルに迅速に対応してもらえました。1人で参加しましたが楽しかったです。”
“Easy access to the slopes with walking or a bus. Festival was family-friendly, full of fun entertainment. The bar afterward was great as well! Slopes were in good condition up top, especially. It is a great place to ski for beginners or advanced people, too. Staff, as always, did a great job.”
“The trip was really, really fun. The Red Door Hotel was very nice and comfortable to stay in. The only issue was with the equipment - my snowboard binding broke about an hour after I started using it. Luckily, it happened when I was down at the bottom and not on the mountain, but it was very dangerous. The next day they replaced the snowboard, but it was also very old and not suitable for practice. It would be a good idea to check the equipment in advance next time. Other than that, everything was excellent!”
“Great way to start the year!”
“Great way to start the year”
“Shoutout to the staff for keeping things smooth and fun the whole weekend. Everyone was super cool, and I met so many great people along the way. Can’t wait to ride with y’all again!”
“Excellent weekend, great weather and even better people. Would definitely go again with TSC.”
“A well organized trip! The Japanese-style hotel was exclusively (I think) for the TSC and within walking distance to bars, restaurants and the lifts. There's a regular shuttle to the lifts for anyone who wanted it, too. Goryu and 47 offered several longer runs for beginners and some fun places to play for more advanced people, too. The resort is small enough you'll definitely run into TSC friends on the slopes or when eating. The timing couldn't have been better, aligning with both the Snow Machine music festival during the weekend days and Hakuba snow festival which brought Saturday night fun: free night skiing, Taiko drums, fireworks, a dragon dance, and live music!”
“Amazing Night Event with the traditional Taiko Performance. The scenery of Hakuba is amazing from the top. Local are friendly and they even have a night life here in the mountain. Able to meet a lot of new friend and good vibe people. Nice note to end the Ski season.”
“Amazing view and good value for a night full of events: Free night ski until 19:30, Taiko performance - Torch Marching - Firework with Music and after party. People here are friendly and nice. The accommodation has amazing breakfast buffet with fresh local bakery. 24/7 Onsen is hot and full of minerals that good for the body. The only cut back is the snow is pretty icy at the bottom because it is almost the end of the season.”
“My favorite Snow Club in Japan! Very attentive and professional guides, smooth organization. Always lots of fun and no problems. Definitely repeat again! :)”
“Amazing trip. The vibes were so good and the guides made it so much fun. Evening party on Saturday with the fireworks, torch skiing, live band, and nightclub was a huge highlight. Even without great snow, this was the best TSC trip I’ve been on yet!”
“I want to personally thank Keiji for teaching me how to do tricks and giving genuinely helpful advice on how to improve! Also the vibes from the organizers were the best <3 (as always)”
“Glad that joined this tour to celebrate New Year! Hakuba is one of the best ski resorts I have been. Staff are friendly and always keep us posted for any update. Will definitely join again.”
“This trip was so much fun! I met a lot of cool, new people and finally got back out to some gorgeous powder snow, after ages away. It was the perfect re-introduction to get my 'snow-legs' back, and actually be social. The guides were awesome; very informative, and super supportive, even, and maybe especially, when we were being dumb. My friend left her snowboard at the hotel, and I didn't notice until we got to the slopes. It was a whole ridiculous thing of sharing my board during the lesson. But, our instructors, Robin and Diane were super helpful, though hilariously flabbergasted by the situation. Hakuba was really gorgeous! And the festival, with the multiple taiko performances and fire dancing were quite the treat! Also, though we weren't there most of the time, the hotel staff catered to our needs brilliantly. They were so careful about everyone's dietary restrictions. It was admirable. All the staff, including the bus staff were really great, including long after the trip had passed. I lost something valuable on the way back, and everyone pitched in to search for it. It wasn't found, but I'm super appreciative of the effort anyway. Looking forward to another excursion with the lovely folks of TSC! I'll definitely be more mindful of my accoutrements next time! Cheers guys! Dani_T”
“It was a nice trip and I met some nice people also! There was a mix of instructors and they were good at helping people get started. Some of the information given was a bit late (such as rooming and bus information given on the day or the day before). Overall, a good trip and I would go again. ”
“My time at Hakuba with Tokyo Snow Club was absolutely wonderful! They truly go above and beyond in providing attentive service, making them stand out from the rest. Plus, the organizers are proficient in basic Japanese, making it accessible for Japanese speakers with basic English skills to join TSC activities. If you're looking for a fun-filled experience, TSC is the way to go!”
“(➕)It was a great trip! I was a bit worried since I joined by myself, but there's many chances to make friends in the bus, hotel and the party! I'd like to join it next year too:) (➖)It would be better if the price were a bit lower:p”
“Great snow and great people! Staff were super friendly and the skiing and hotel was convenient and fun! Thank you! ”
“I had a great experience at Hakuba! Tokyo Snow Club, they always do very careful job than anywhere else. Also the organizers speak basic Japanese, so if you are japanese who understand basic English, you can join TSC! You'll have fun!”
“Another great experience with TSC. We had a very great time there in Hakuba. The arrangement was awsome. Skiing, Onsen, Bar Party, Fireworks and countdown, and the local tour attractions. Fun and memorable! ”
“It was a fun time with the Tokyo Snow Club. I had a lot of fun exploring the slopes of Hakuba and this was my first time snowboarding there as well. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Definitely looking forward to next year’s trip with TSC.”
“Loved the longer trip! Less pressure, more snow, & better friendships created. ”
“I had an amazing time with Tokyo Snow Club on their ski trip for new year. The trip was well-organized, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the resort was beautiful - 2 ski resorts nearby. I met some awesome people along the way. The highlight of the trip was the new year's eve party, where we celebrated with music, drinks, and fireworks. It was a memorable trip, especially when we felt an earthquake on January 1. It was a bit scary, but also exciting and unforgettable. We all hugged and wished each other a happy new year. The trip was a great way to start 2024, and I would definitely recommend Tokyo Snow Club to anyone who loves snow, adventure, and good company. It was a trip of a lifetime, and I can't wait to go again next year. ”
“Enjoyed full 4 day snow journey with multiple slope routines to choose from and musical events at night. Love the fireworks ???? ”
“firework in the mounatain and traditional Tayko show was so much worth it! definitely was a powder love !”
“I enjoyed so much the experience, that I have no doubt that i will repeat it again next season.”
“Nice organization!”
“This was my first trip ever with the TSC. I'm pretty sure I was the oldest member of the travel squad and my son was the youngest but we had the best time and the strangers on the bus soon became friends. This was a fun group to chill with. It was spring skiing but easy to avoid the slush if you knew where to go. The entertainment on Saturday night was red hot. All the logistics went smoothly as well.”
“Wonderful trip as always! Snowboarding and a new year countdown with Tokyo Snow Club in Hakuba has been our way of celebrating a new year three years in a row. :) This year, I could share all the fun with my family from USA. I cannot ask for more. Thanks to Keiji and all staff to make this trip so memorable!”
“Joined as a solo traveler and could not have been more happy with the choic of my new year's trip this year. The solos were placed in the same rooms and it was super easy to connect and and form groups for skiing and parties at night. I would like to thank the team for the great organisation; the bus left pretty much on time from Shinjuku, rental ski gear was waiting at the lodge and it was even possible to have one dinner with pretty much everyone on the tour (~50 people). Overall great tour and I will definitely book again with Tokyo Snow Club.”
“Tsugaike and Hakuba Cortina’s alps view was breathtaking. It made me feel like I was in Switzerland. There are many slopes for many levels at Tsugaike. My partner had so much fun during backcountry tour and still enjoyed going between trees in the green area where I had to stay. We also enjoyed Hakuba local draft beer every day after the snowboarding looking over a beautiful white world from the hotel window. Having a beer break, dinner, and party all at the same lovely hotel was so relaxing. An amazing singer definitely added more festivity to the party. Thank you, Tokyo Snow Club staff members for making every single tour family friendly, safe, and fun!”
“Another great TSC trip, the hotel and location was great, both Keiji and Steven were on point as trip leaders. Had great fun on and off the slopes, can't wait for another trip in March! ”
“Great organization and awesome trip. In particular, the trip leads were very kind and made it a vey family-friendly trip by providing flexible choices in accommodations and even helping me with the luggage. ”
