Nozawa Onsen Powder Weekend
Overview
Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort is truly a snow paradise - a huge resort, with a great variety of courses offering something for everyone. From long, wide open runs that are great for beginners and intermediates to steep powder runs that will leave the more experienced skiiers/boarders grinning ear to ear. The super long runs of Nozawa Onsen also mean that you spend alot more time cruising down the slopes than sitting on the lifts. The back & side country tree runs at Nozawa Onsen are second to none. There are natural halfpipes, gullies and tons of well spaced powder tree runs to explore.
The traditional town of Nozawa Onsen is scattered with authentic Japanese buildings and free onsen houses throughout. There is a fantastic atomosphere in the village with many restaurants, bars and night spots.
We are staying in a stylish lodge located only 2min walk from the lifts (you can ski back to the door). The lodge is very close to one of the larger free onsens, and also has its own onsen on site.

the accommodation was clean, not cold, and not far! also the trip was nice!
This was absolutely a powder weekend. I was surprised that the hotel for this trip was so clean and comfortable! Even if you aren’t a pro, you can have fun at the beginner lesson and enjoy all the onsen in town and what a cute town it is. The hotel itself was located close enough to a lift and there were lots of cute restaurants in town too. The snow and slopes were the best I’ve ever experienced and I can’t wait to go back.
Had a wonderful time! The rooms were fantastic, the food was just what you expect! Everything was expertly planned and ran on schedule. It would be nice if we could have some brief input on random roommate pairings (sleep times, language).
It was a well organized trip as always. The hotel was just a 3 min walk to the closest lift. We had great breakfast and delicious hot pot for dinner. With the rental shop across the street it was a really comvenient location, even with an Onsen. Nozawa offers a great variability of pists and the numerous Onsen in the village are a big plus. It was snowing a lot during our trip, with great powder snow.
Wonderful trip! The guides are always organized, very friendly and helpful. The accommodation is a few minutes walk from the Karasawa lift. Lots of yummy food for breakfast and dinner and great company! Thank you always:)
Great weekend! The resort is pretty good, long runs, good off piste and the town is beautiful, nice community. Also the hotel location quick close to the chair lift and the staff very supportive. Totally recommended.
The team behind TSC organizes everything pretty seamlessly, and are also great people to ride with. They take care of the details so you can just focus on being on the mountain. Always appreciate you all, TSC team!
The hotel room and food were amazing and the tour guides made sure everything ran smoothly. I thoroughly enjoyed this trip!
Only a 4 hour bus ride with a couple stops away. Hotel is minutes from the slopes & its nice, cozy, and warm with plenty of hang out space. There's a rental shop across the street with gear for all types of levels. Fantastic meals and walking distance to Nozawa's night life & minutes away from a shuttle that brings you to the gondola base if that's more preferred. Hotel is also minutes from other delicious cafes and restaurants and walking distance to other onsens. The TSC staff always does a great job curating a fun experience for everyone. Only tip is to bring a powercord for extra access to outlets at the hotel.
Another amazing trip with TSC. Easy ride up and back to Nozawa, great party in the evening, and very organized throughout. Thanks for the great trip!
